New product test-railway ballast cleaning and conveying equipment
Today, our company successfully completed comprehensive performance testing for our new railway ballast cleaning conveyor. The equipment demonstrated stable operation, met all specified operational parameters, and fully complied with railway maintenance standards for ballast cleaning and distribution.
Developed in-house specifically for railway maintenance, this specialized equipment addresses common challenges such as the uneven accumulation and distribution of ballast in the track bed. It effectively overcomes the limitations of traditional manual cleaning methods and basic clearing tools—namely, low operational efficiency, disorganized ballast distribution, and poor adaptability.

The equipment features a streamlined and logical functional design. Its core architecture consists of two primary systems—a ballast-sweeping brush and a ballast-conveying mechanism—which operate in tandem to integrate the cleaning, transport, and organized distribution of ballast. The front-mounted sweeping brush, crafted from high-strength, wear-resistant material, is designed to accommodate various rail gauges.
It precisely removes excess ballast from the inner sides of the rails and the gaps between sleepers, clearing debris from hard-to-reach areas of the track bed. This ensures a clean, well-organized track bed and prevents uneven stress on the railway line caused by ballast accumulation.

The integrated conveyor belt serves as the primary material transport system, offering smooth, consistent operating speeds and high load-bearing capacity.
Once the sweeping brush dislodges and collects the accumulated ballast, the conveyor belt transports it at a steady rate, distributing it evenly along one side of the track in accordance with maintenance standards. This allows for the recovery and reorganization of ballast without the need for additional manual labor.

With a high degree of automation and user-friendly operation, this equipment significantly reduces both labor costs and the physical intensity of track bed maintenance, while enhancing overall efficiency and the standardization of maintenance procedures.
The testing has fully validated the stability and practicality of the machine, confirming its capability to provide efficient, reliable support for the routine maintenance and rehabilitation of various conventional passenger and freight railway lines.
