Key Application and Working Principle
The primary function of our single-head tamper is to compact the track ballast (the crushed stone beneath the railway sleepers) to provide a stable foundation. The attachment uses a high-frequency vibration unit to force the tamping tools (or "tines") into the ballast, squeezing and packing it under and around the sleeper. This process, known as vibratory squeeze tamping, effectively eliminates voids and ensures the track maintains its precise geometry.
